Let’s start with a reminder that no one is perfect. There will be days when you walk through the front door and the house is already a disaster zone. There will be days when the favor you intended to do for your future self never happened because you were just trying to survive the morning. We are not aiming for a pristine home every single day; we are just trying to make the hard days a little bit softer.
We’ve all felt that heavy sigh when you walk into the house after a long day only to realize that dinner is not even a thought yet and the laundry is sitting in a cold, damp pile in the washer. Often we sabotage our future selves by leaving difficult tasks for later. But later always comes, and usually, later is when we have the least amount of energy.

The kindest thing you can do is set yourself up for an easy win. It is not about chores; it is about care. Walking back into a house where dinner is already started or the laundry is ready to fold feels like a giant hug from your past self.
The One Favor Rule
Before you walk out the door in the morning, do ONE thing that future you will thank you for. This simple shift in mindset changes a mundane task into an act of self kindness.

The Dinner Favor: Pull the meat to thaw or start the slow cooker. When you walk in at 5 PM and smell dinner cooking, the evening stress immediately drops.
The Laundry Favor: I am a switch and start the laundry kind of girl. Moving that load from the washer to the dryer means one less thing to think about when you get home.
The Hydration Favor: Use your eSpring system to fill your water bottle and put it in the fridge so it is ice cold when you return. Or grab a Perfect Water to have ready for that post workout re-entry.
The goal is simple: Come home to a “Done.”

The Five Minute Blessing List
Sometimes we don’t do the favor because we think it has to be a major project. It doesn’t. The point of this list is to eliminate your decision fatigue and spark ideas for how you can bless yourself in the time it takes to finish your XS energy drink. Here are a few playful ways to set yourself up for a win:
The Remote Rescue: Put the TV remotes back in their home. No one wants to hunt for the remote when they finally sit down to relax.
The Pillow Fluff: Give the couch pillows a quick chop and straighten. Walking into a living room that looks intentional instead of exploded changes the entire vibe.
The Sink Sweep: Use an Amway Home Multi Purpose Wipe to quickly shine the faucet. That little sparkle is a tiny high five when you walk in to start dinner.
The Scent Setup: Set your favorite diffuser or candle right by the door with the matches ready. You are basically telling your brain: “Welcome home, it is time to relax now.”
The Counter Clear: Take sixty seconds to put the mail in a basket and the keys on the hook. Future you does not want to decide what to do with a stack of bills the second they walk in.
Grace for the Household Whirlwinds
Even the best favors can be interrupted. Sometimes you set the slow cooker only to have a toddler accidentally unplug it while looking for an outlet for their tablet. Sometimes your spouse “helps” by moving your carefully prepped water bottle to a random shelf in the garage.
This is not about perfection. This is about creating a baseline of peace. When you do yourself a favor five out of seven days, the other two are much easier to handle because you are not already running on empty. You are not just a person doing chores; you are looking out for yourself.
What is your favorite favor?

I want to know what makes your future self smile. Is it a clean kitchen island? Is it having the xs in the fridge? Is it the laundry switch?
I want to hear from you. What is the one favor you love to do for yourself? Better yet, show me your “Done”!
Snap a pic of your slow cooker in action or your freshly switched laundry, post it to your stories, and tag me. Let us keep designing a life that feels like a hug.
